What are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are cosmetic treatments used to improve the appearance and texture of the skin on the face, neck, or hands. They involve the application of a chemical solution to the skin, which causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. This process stimulates new skin cell growth, leading to smoother, more radiant skin with reduced imperfections.

There are different types of chemical peels available, ranging from superficial to deep, and each type varies in its strength and the depth of penetration into the skin:

Superficial Peels: These peels use mild acids, such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), to exfoliate only the outermost layer of the skin (epidermis). They are often used to treat mild skin imperfections, such as fine lines, uneven skin tone, and acne.

Medium Peels: Medium-depth peels penetrate deeper into the skin, reaching the middle layer (dermis). They typically use stronger acids, such as glycolic acid or trichloroacetic acid (TCA), to target moderate skin issues like deeper wrinkles, sun damage, and acne scars.

Deep Peels: Deep chemical peels penetrate the deepest layers of the skin and usually involve the use of strong acids like phenol. These peels are reserved for treating severe skin imperfections, such as deep wrinkles, extensive sun damage, and precancerous growths. Due to their intensity, deep peels require longer recovery times and may not be suitable for all skin types.

Chemical peels can help improve various skin concerns, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Sun damage and age spots

  • Uneven skin tone and texture

  • Acne and acne scars

  • Hyperpigmentation and melasma

  • Rough or dull skin

It's essential to undergo a consultation with a qualified skincare professional  to determine the most suitable type of chemical peel for your skin type, concerns, and desired outcomes. Additionally, proper post-peel skincare and sun protection are crucial to ensure optimal results and minimize the risk of complications.

BioRePeelCl3

BioRePeel is an advanced peel treatment that uses bio-stimulation and active ingredients to address various skin concerns and rejuvenate the skin.

BioRePeel is broken down into 4 Functional Complexes.

BIO (Bio stimulation),
RE (Revitalisation),
PEEL (Peel) and
LIPO (Lipo Complex)

BIO: (Bio stimulation) this stimulates the fibroblasts activity and activates cutaneous proliferation. It achieves this by using the amino acids: glycine, proline, hydroxyproline and vitamin C.

RE (Revitalisation) creates an anti-wrinkling effect and encourages the skin to look fresher, glowy and healthy. This effect is caused by the ingredients: GABA Arginine, Vitamin B2

PEEL removes the outer cells of the stratum corneum by melting the corneocytes adhesion bonds, revealing fresher, healthier and less congested skin.

LIPO Complex moisturises the skin so when the peel is removed it gives the skin a velvet texture.

What areas can be treated?

BioRePeel can be used on multiple body areas including face, neck, chest, back, and hands for treatment of acne, sun damage, ageing signs, etc.

The BioRePeel procedure involves skin preparation, solution application, absorption, and removal. Post-procedure care includes avoiding direct sun exposure, maintaining hydration, and avoiding harsh skincare products.

Who is this treatment ideal for?

Ideal BioRePeel candidates are individuals with skin concerns like acne, uneven skin texture, ageing signs, sun damage, and those desiring improved skin appearance. Some contraindications include active skin infections, allergies, recent skin procedures, and pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Is it painful?

Clients may feel a slight tingling sensation but most report that they do not feel anything.
